Irit Roth Appointed Chief Legal Advisor and Head of the Legal Division at Bank Leumi

President & CEO of the Leumi Group, Ms. Rakefet Russak-Aminoach, announced today that Adv. Irit Roth is joining the Management of Leumi as Chief Legal Advisor and Head of the Legal Division. Adv. Roth is expected to replace Adv. Hanan Friedman, who is to be appointed as Head of the Strategy and Regulation Division. The date of commencement of Roth's tenure has yet to be determined, and her appointment is subject to approval of the Supervisor of Banks at the Bank of Israel.


Adv. Irit Roth (47), who holds an LL.B. degree in Law from the Tel-Aviv University, has served for the past five years as a Partner in the Department of Banking and Finance at the 'Herzog-Fox-Ne'eman' law firm. Prior to that, she served for more than 11 years as the Chief Legal Advisor of Citigroup in Israel. In this role, Roth was involved in establishing the Israeli branch of Citibank and developing “Citi”’s business in Israel. Previously, she served as a legal advisor in the Legal Department of the First International Bank of Israel.


At the same time, the Leumi Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Ilan Buganim, who currently serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Bank, to the position of Acting Head of Leumi's Technologies Division in place of Dan Yerushalmi, who recently announced his retirement. Mr. Buganim will serve in this position until the appointment of a new permanent Head of Technologies Division.
