Locating a deposit account that is inactive or whose owner is deceased

Leumi is taking part in a Bank of Israel initiative which enables customers of all banks to locate funds belonging to them in inactive deposits, and enabling the heirs of deceased customers of the Bank to locate existing accounts previously held by persons deceased.

The service is solely available to residents of Israel who possess an identification certificate (Teudat Zehut) number.

To verify if such funds are available to you, please go to the initiative's dedicated website, "Har Hakesef 2" at: https://itur.mof.gov.il.

On the site, you will be asked to enter your ID certificate's number and date of issue.

If you wish to locate an account previously held by a person who is deceased, you will be asked for the deceased person's ID number and date of death.

The sole information obtainable via the initiative's website will be whether the account in question exists at a given bank.

If the response you receive from the site confirms that funds are available to you at Bank Leumi, please contact our call center in one of the following ways:

1. Telephone: 076-8039222
2. Email: heshbon.av@bankleumi.co.il
3. Fax number: 077-8080528

It is advisable to obtain any information, in advance, that could facilitate the identification of the applicant and their connection with the account.

In addition, in order to obtain information or funds, you may be asked to produce certain documents such as an ID certificate, an Order of Inheritance or will, an Order of Probate, and more.

We will be pleased to assist you on the following days:

Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 8:00 to 16:00
Monday, Thursday - 8:00 to 18:30
Friday - 8:00 to 12:00
