Mr. Zvi Itskovitch Announces his Decision to Resign From Bank Leumi

Deputy CEO and Head of the International and Private Banking Division, Mr. Zvi Itskovitch, has notified the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. David Brodet, and the President and CEO of the Bank, Ms. Galia Maor, of his decision to resign from the Bank. Mr. Itskovitch told them that after serving in three positions as a member of management, and setting up the International and Private Banking Division, which he headed for the last 12 years, he feels the time has come to resign.

Leumi announced this morning that according to its preliminary estimates of the financial results for the third quarter of 2011, the net profit for the third quarter of 2011 will be significantly lower than the net profit of the Bank in the past two quarters of 2011 and will range between NIS 50 million and NIS 100 million. For the first nine months of 2011, the Bank is expected to report a net profit ranging between NIS 1,168 million and NIS 1,218 million. The reduction of the net profit was caused due to the effect of the fall in prices of securities traded on the stock exchange in Israel, especially due to the accumulated effect of the decrease in value of the investment in the shares of Partner.
