Leumi offers a wide variety of award-winning accessible banking services, listed below.  

According to the "Access Israel Association," nearly 20-25% of Israel's population has some difficulty with accessing the Internet. With the goal of equal service for all, Leumi invests its resources to make much of its website more accessible to the handicapped community.

 

The "Accessible Website" symbol has been placed on those pages which have undergone the adjustments required to make them accessible to the disabled. Such strides at equality earned Leumi an "Accessible Website" award from the "Access Israel" Association and the Israel Internet Association.

Leumi was the first bank in Israel to launch ATM machines accessible for members of the disabled community. These ATMS are accessible for those who are visually-impaired, for those in wheelchairs, with physical-disabilities as well as for vertically-challenged individuals. Accessible ATM machines have been placed in various locations in Israel and at selected bank branches.





Leumi is the first bank in Israel to be awarded the "Israel Access" award, for its strides at making its bank branches more accessible to the disabled public. Special adjustments have been made at Leumi bank branches for those customers with physical disabilities as well as visual, hearing and other disabilities.

 

At selected branches, special banking stations are available for disabled customers to complete all necessary banking transactions and to receive all necessary banking services. Sound tones have also been placed in branch elevators to better assist the hearing impaired. Leumi Accessible ATM machines have also been placed at selected branches, featuring numerous modifications to better assist disabled individuals (see accessible ATM machines section for more details).

  • An Audio Induction Loop system for the hearing-impaired at bank branches: An Audio Inductive Loop system is a special device that filters out and neutralizes background noise, allowing hearing-disabled individuals with T Model hearing aids to better hear bank employees, when visiting a Leumi branch.  Audio Inductive Loops are available upon request at select, accessible branches.

 

  • Check Guides: Leumi has come up with another tool to better assist visually-disabled customers. Leumi provides customers with a "check guide," a tool which indicates to the visually-disabled exactly where to write on a check. User-friendly and convenient, Leumi makes these guides available for visually-disabled customers.

 

  • Leumi V video chat in sign-language: Leumi V is a free-of-charge, Leumi Digital service which allows customers to have a "face to face video chat" with a Leumi banker from their 3G Cell Phone or Computer. Those hearing-disabled customers who are subscribed to Leumi online can order a call in sign language, in advance. Leumi V calls are then scheduled with the customer, a Leumi banker and a sign language interpreter, to facilitate the video chat.
