Text Transfer

Another innovative service from Leumi Digital – Text Transfer allows you to transfer money from your Leumi account either to yourself or a beneficiary, which can then be:

  • Withdrawn from a Leumi ATM machine, or
  • Deposited directly into an Israeli bank account of the beneficiary’s choosing without the need for a credit card or ATM machine, bank appointments, or special authorizations.

 How do you join the service?


Joining the service requires no registration process and operates via all the following digital service channels:

  1. Leumi's "Direct Browsing" website
  2. The Leumi Mobile app
  3. Leumi Digital banking terminals – to locate Leumi branches and ATMs

The Text Transfer digital service is available to all Leumi customers* (except for business customers).  

 

 

How do you transfer funds to a beneficiary?
  • Sign into your account via Leumi's “Direct Browsing” site, Leumi Mobile app, or Leumi Digital banking terminal

 

  • After the identification process, click on “SMS Transfer” in the menu bar

 

  • Enter the beneficiary’s details and the transfer amount

 

  • Await transfer authorization
 
You can transfer up to NIS 3,000 per day, in up to two transfers per day.  
The transfer (to be withdrawn or deposited by the beneficiary) is valid for up to 24 hours.  

  

 

How do you, as a beneficiary, receive funds?

 

ATM Withdrawal

  • As the beneficiary of a text transfer, you will receive a text message with a one-time code for withdrawing cash at an ATM machine
  • Go to a Leumi Digital ATM and choose the SMS Transfer option
  • Enter the amount for withdrawal (must be exact same amount sent in the trasfer)
  • Enter you ID number
  • Enter the one-time code sent to your phone
  • Withdraw cash from the ATM machine

 

Transfer of Money to an Account

  • As the beneficiary of a text transfer, you will receive a text message with a one-time code for transfering the funds to an account
  • Go to the Leumi site and transfer money to an Israeli bank account of your choosing (in Hebrew) >>
  • Enter the exact amount of the transfer
  • Enter you ID number
  • Enter the one-time code sent to your phone
  • Enter the details of the account to which you wish to transfer the funds
  • The money will be transferred to the desired bank account
     

Please note: The Text Transfer service is currently only available in Hebrew
