Conditions required for obtaining a loan:
Amount:
Loans are usually granted for up to 50% of the property value, starting with a minimum loan of US$ 150,000. Loans are available in a variety of major currencies including Euro, US Dollars, Swiss Francs and Pounds Sterling.
Loan period:
Loans are granted up to a maximum of fifteen years.
Interest rate:
Interest rates are based on "LIBOR" (The London Interbank Offered Rate) with a margin. They can be re-calculated every one, three or six months, according to the chosen period of repayment.
A fixed rate loan for a maximum of 5 years is also available.
Collateral:
The purchased property will be used as collateral to guarantee the loan.
Pre-Payment:
Partial or full pre-payment may be possible under certain conditions, without penalty, with 30 days advance notice.
Costs:
Document fees:
- US$ 500 flat for loans up to US$ 200,000
- US$ 1,500 for loans greater than US$ 200,000
Procedure:
Each application submitted to the bank with the above documentation will be examined by the Credit Department and presented to the Credit Committee for final approval.
