Leumi has today announced two new senior appointments: Advocate Nomi Sandhaus will succeed Advocate Nachum Bitterman, on his retirement, as Chief Legal Advisor and Head of Leumi's Legal Division and Advocate Yael (Ben Moshe) Rudnicki will succeed Advocate Jennifer Janes, on her retirement, as Bank and Group Secretary.
Adv. Nachum Bitterman (67) LL.B (Hebrew University) is completing 14 years as Chief Legal Advisor of the Bank and the Group, Head of Leumi's Legal Division, First Executive Vice President and Member of the Bank's Management. Adv. Bitterman has been employed by the Leumi Group for the last 46 years, during which he has held a long succession of senior management positions, including Head of the Special Credits Department and Head of Labor Relations in the Bank. As Chief Legal Advisor, Adv. Bitterman served as Manager of Legal Risks of the Bank and the Group and was responsible for the Chief Compliance Officer, in charge of compliance and the application of the prohibition of money laundering requirements.
His successor, Adv. Nomi Sandhaus (51) LL.B (Tel Aviv University) has been employed by Leumi for the last 26 years. Adv. Sandhaus has filled many positions in Leumi's Legal Division, and most recently she has been Head of Legal Advice to Head Office Units, responsible for giving legal advice to the following Divisions: Capital Markets, Finance and Economics, International and Private Banking, Investment Counseling, Accounting, Operations, Information Systems and Administration and External Affairs.
Adv. Jennifer Janes (67) LL.B (University College London) is completing 35 years with the Bank. Before immigrating to Israel in 1973, she acted as legal advisor and corporate secretary to a leading public company in London. At Leumi, Adv. Janes first acted as a legal advisor, specializing in capital market matters .As Bank and Group Secretary, she has been responsible for corporate governance (including all matters relating to the Board of Directors and the shareholders of the Bank), for various reports to the regulatory authorities in Israel and abroad and for the legal aspects of prospectuses of the Bank, in Israel and abroad.
Her successor, Adv.Yael (Ben Moshe) Rudnicki (45) LL.M (Tel Aviv University) has been employed by Leumi Mortgage Bank for the last 17 years. In recent years, Adv. Rudnicki has served as Chief Legal Advisor and Secretary of Leumi Mortgage Bank, including responsibility for insurance contracts, supervision of litigation, contractual engagements, compliance and the application of the prohibition of money laundering requirements.
