This is the second consecutive year that the site has been chosen as the best website in capital market trading in Israel category in the prestigious WebiAwards 2008 competition/. The website also won the best trading award in the same competition. Launched in 2005, Leumitrade Israel has continuously received excellent reviews on professionalism, the commercial concept and the convenient and user-friendly interface.
The panel of judges, which included Internet experts, awarded the site the highest grade based on criteria of the site’s level of usability, user experience, the degree of interactivity, level of information security, service and support, availability and response time and ability to withstand peak periods.
The “LeumiTrade” website enables investors to manage their investment portfolios on the Israeli and overseas exchanges efficiently from a computer in the office, at home or anywhere in the world. The site provides customers with a live trading experience by providing easy, convenient and immediate access to all trading data in real time for the range of products traded on the exchange.
Mr. Yitzhak Malach, senior deputy CEO and head of the Operating and Administrative Division at Leumi, says that the site’s success stems primarily from the concept of the customer in the center for which the site offers access to an abundance of vital economic information and a professional tool, which enable optimum activity performance in securities. “The site suits all types of investors, offering each investor the information and applications that he/she requires, which are presented in simple language and convenient graphical tools,” says Malach.
Mr. Yona Fogel, senior CEO and head of the Banking Division at Leumi, points out that hundreds of thousands of customers already prefer the site above other trading options and tens of thousands use the advanced services that it offers daily. “Our target is that 70% of the customers will execute 70% of their transactions in direct channels. Currently, 50% of the capital market transactions at Leumi are conducted through websites and, undoubtedly, LeumiTrade Israel is one of the sophisticated channels, which enables the bank to progress towards this goal.”
