Leumi's Corporate and Commercial Divisions will be merged into one division: The Corporate and Commercial Division – under the management of Koby Haber

  

The International Credit and Real Estate Division will include International Credit operations, the Construction & Real Estate Department and the Special Credit Department – under the management of Yoel Mintz, reporting directly to the CEO

 

The Credit Risk Management units (Commercial, Corporate and Real Estate), under the management of Malkiel Shahar - Head of Credit Risk Department -  will be subordinate to the Risk Management Division, headed by Dr. Hedva Ber

 

Shmulik Arbel will be appointed Head of Commercial Department

 

This morning, Leumi's Board of Directors approved the proposal of Leumi's President & CEO, Ms. Rakefet Russak-Aminoach, to merge Leumi's Corporate and Commercial Divisions into one division, The Corporate and Commercial Division, headed by Member of Senior Management, Mr. Koby Haber. Haber will be responsible for the Corporate Department, headed by Mr. Izik Naor, and the Commercial Department.

 

Mr. Shmulik Arbel, currently Manager of the Central Branch in Tel Aviv, will be appointed Head of Commercial Department, reporting directly to Mr. Haber. Arbel will be responsible for the operations of the Commercial Districts which manage the activities of 24 designated business branches, specializing in providing comprehensive banking and financial services to middle-market companies.

 

Member of Senior Management and Head of International Credit and Real Estate Division, Mr. Yoel Mintz, will be reporting directly to the CEO and responsible for the Construction & Real Estate Department, headed by Mr. David Scheffner, as well as for the Special Credit Department, headed by Ms. Osnat Tenenbaum, and for International Credit in the overseas subsidiaries. In addition, Mintz serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Leumi UK and Chairman of Leumi Romania.

 

The bank further announced that in order to comply with Bank of Israel instruction # 311, the Credit Risk Management units (Commercial, Corporate and Real Estate), under the management of Mr. Malkiel Shahar – Head of Credit Risk Department - will be subordinate to the Risk Management Division, headed by Dr. Hedva Ber.
