Leumi Receives a Platinum Maale Rating for Corporate Responsibility, with Excellence in the area of Corporate Governance

Leumi was awarded the highest possible rating-a Platinum Rating-for the Maale Rating of corporate responsibility, published on June 19, 2009. Leumi substantially improved its scores in the various categories of competition, and was identified as excelling in corporate governance. Leumi’s total score breakdown is as follows:


  • Business ethics: 10/10
  • Human rights and work environment: 9/10
  • Community Service: 9/10
  • Ecology: 10/10
  • Corporate governance: 10/10


This is the fifth, consecutive year that Maale Rating has rated public, private and those companies traded overseas. Only companies listed on the TA 100 Index or with revenues exceeding $100 million are eligible for a rating. Companies are rated in five separate categories in the field of business corporate responsibility, including: ecology, business ethics, human rights and work environment, community service and corporate governance. Companies are either given an overall rating of platinum, gold or silver. In 2009, the Maale Rating awarded 25 companies with a platinum rating, 20 with a gold rating and 17 with a silver rating.
